titans gone

I've been loving the Cartoon Network show Teen Titans. It's not a faithful adaptation of the comic, but it's still a good show and lots of fun. But the Powers That Be have decided not to renew the series for another season, so there is only one more episode left. This season has been pretty good - not too many silly eps, and a good story arc with the Brotherhood of Evil. The climactic battle in the last ep was really good, and I especially liked getting to see Jericho in action. (No mention of him being Slade's son, however.)

So Teen Titans is almost gone, and I don't know what happened to Justice League Unlimited. I need to find a new cartoon for my weekend fix.

no more teen titans?!? boo. i was waiting for them to add wonder girl to the group. haha. joking. but really i enjoyed the show i'm sad that they're not gonna make anymore new episodes. and yet they still have krypto the super dog? blach. maybe they'll come out with a new x-men cartoon. it's about that time for there to be a new version.

OMG, I tried watching Krypto once and it was completely craptacular. Ugh. Now, if only someone would do an Authority cartoon, heh.

i never read that one. i was more of a Gen 13 and DV8 fan. And I'm not gonna lie I do like Aquaman.

Me too, heh. Did you hear they are doing an Aquaman spinoff from Smallville? Not the same actor who played A.C. on the Aqua ep this season, but some hot model dude named Will Toale... here's the site I just found: http://www.aquamantv.com/ I wonder if they are going to give him telepathy with fish, like in the comics. They didn't mention that at all on Smallville.

I did hear about that. They dissed the guy who played him on Smallville because apparently all the praise was about his body and none of it was about his acting. I hope they have Aqualad and Dolphin. And Black Manta. The thing that always kills me about screen adaptations of comic books is that they screw all the timelines up or create characters that don't exist. I hope they don't mess up Aquaman. And I never really understood why his costume was orange and green. I mean I get green but there's not a lot of orange material to be found in the depths of the sea.

Think "goldfish" :-)

I get annoyed when they change things around in adaptations too. X-Men is awful about that (both the movie and the cartoons), and Fantastic Four really fracked things up too. I mean, if the story is good enough to make a movie of, why not just use it instead of changing things around? Worked great for Spiderman (even if they had the Green Goblin hang MJ off the bridge instead of Gwen).

And I have to agree that the Aquaman on Smallville was way hot but couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. But I like that he's really good at holding his breath, heh.

you know i thought that but how the hell do you get the scales together like that? that would take a lot of goldfish. i want to see an X-Men cartoon that stay truer to the comic book. And with more of the characters I like. Or even a live action version of the New Mutants (the current ones with Wind Dancer and crew not the originals with Cannonball and Wolfsbane and crew). It could be a drama like Smallville but with lots of effects like Mutant X or Charmed. But I always wonder how to translate comic costumes into real life without being cheesy.

And sure the kid couldn't act but who really can nowadays. I heard that the crew loved the guy except for Tom Welling. Of course I'm sure the new guy will probably be better and he's definitely more attractive in the face. The first guy looked kind of rough. Not at all like King of the Ocean. More like Seargant of the Sea.
