lunation
I'm trying to make some animated gif userpics, using Photoshop. But I can't figure out how to slow down the animation from the maximum/default speed. Anyone know how to do that?

UPDATE: Figured out how to do it in ImageReady. Cool!

I didn't even realize you could make animated gifs with photoshop; I've always used ImageReady

Thanks for that tip. ImageReady has much better tools for dealing with animated GIFs. See?

Si....sort of.

I used Photoshop to make the frames. Then, in ImageReady, you can import a folder of images as a animation file with each image a frame. the tools are limited, but are enough to make a decent animation file.

I actually perfer Macromedia's Fireworks; they have a lot more tools for making animations and its not as much of a pain in the ass to import frames as it is with ImageReady.

While I've been known to dabble in various shades of the dark arts, I can assure you that creating animated GIFs in Photoshop requires no arcane knowledge. It just doesn't work as well as in ImageReady so no one does it.

Hey - I stumbled upon your journal via ohdannyboi. You seem cool. Would you mind if I added you?

Not at all. But don't be offended if I don't add you back right away - often it takes me a bit to warm up to new peoples.

No problem! I understand. :)
