I haven't been keeping up with my journal lately. Ha, like I really care. I just have this so I can make comments, remember. Anyway, I should scribble a few things down.

On Passover weekend my car got hit by a bike rider. $1300 to fix the dent and paint! He's lying and won't admit that I couldn't see him before he hit me because he was riding on the sidewalk, so my insurance won't take the trouble to go after him. That means I have to eat the $250 deductible. It might seem like the little shit won this round, but if he keeps riding his bike like that he'll end up dead, which isn't a winning strategy. I'm still waiting for the damn estimator guy to come rubber-stamp what the body shop said so I can get the damage repaired.

Work has been kind of chaotic lately. I'm always swamped these days, and crazy things are happening. But I guess I'm doing ok, and there is a possibility on the horizon that might be really interesting.

Still ramping up my yoga workouts. It's almost scary seeing how quickly my body responds to just a little exercise. I wish I had more time to do classes regularly.

Last weekend was very fun. It was very cool to get to meet doubleedge, and of course seeing the Sacramento boys is always a good thing.

I've been in a bit of a funk of late. Not a big deal, but it's been annoying. Not really a suitable topic for a grab-bag entry. I'll have to do a more focused entry sometime.

Still looking for someone to rent the room. Not being able to reliably receive emails seems to have been a problem, but now that that's fixed, I've already got 3 responses to my ad. Fingers crossed for filling it soon.

Even though T and I aren't dating anymore, we're still friends. He's in Israel for a week on some educational vacation. And there have been 5 bombings in the last 2 days! I hope I hear from him soon.

BayCon is this weekend. Woo-hoo! redarius and I are going to go be prospective authors and network our cute little selves into exhaustion. I'm so excited. I haven't been to a con in years. It should be a hoot! I wonder if there will be any hot little nerd boys there...

Tomorrow is my birthday. I think the Buffy Apocalypse party will be a lot of fun. I've stacked the deck and invited a couple old flames, so maybe I'll get some birthday nookie after all. Besides the party, I'm not expecting too much for the day. I guess I'll get a few calls from family, maybe a card or two. I'm not all gung-ho for birthday gifts, but I have a dangerous little fantasy of someone setting me up for a surprise party. Trouble is I'm too sneaky myself for anyone to be able to pull one over on me that way. Oh well, maybe someday when I'm old and senile, but while I'm still spry enough that I don't keel over of a heart attack!

Cute boy with his head nuzzled against my chest, curled up in my arms.

I hear ya on the Israel thing. Roman's there until the end of the month.. or at least he's supposed to be. He said something about the airport being closed so he didn't know if he'd be able to fly, but since I haven't heard from him, I figure he must be there.

Baycon is much fun. Once upon a time I went every year. No trek for me this year, but then I already turned down a free trip to Vegas to gamble with someone else's money in order to be here for a friends 30th.

See ya tonight, kid. ;)
