I just flew in from Atlanta, and boy are my arms tired. ba-DUM-bah. It was a good and productive trip. I got to meet pharm1215
who was cool to hang out with, and looks much taller in person. However he did not recite any poetry to me. I got flaked on by a friend who then got angry at me for being upset at being flaked on and posted childish things in his journal about me. I ate far too much food because all the other managers just love expense accounts to death, but I avoided getting more than a little tipsy with them and kept my professional reputation unsullied. I gave my first presentation to a VP and it went very well, thankyouverymuch. And I'm actually interested in my job again, for the first time in a year.
Also, my hotel screwed up my reservation so to make it up to me they upgraded me to a humongous suite. It was like a $450/night suite! I mean, it was bigger than a house I used to live in. That's not hyperbole. The sitting room was twice the size of my living room in my current home. But even so, the bathroom was totally unluxurious, and there wasn't a wet bar or even a fridge. Go figure.
The really good news it I don't have to travel again for over a week! Yay!
Here's hoping I can get some decent sleep tonight. Jetlag is my bane.
