Sunday I did the most relaxing thing I've done in ages. I gave my friend Rene a massage for his birthday. His birthday was weeks ago, but between our schedules and having a cold and travel, it took a while to get around to it. Poor thing, his back was in such bad shape he really needed it.
I hadn't done a massage like that in a while. I tidied up the spare room and set up the massage table, lit a candle, burned some incense, put on some mellow music, and tossed the flannel sheets in the dryer to get warm. And since he likes green tea I made sure I had some hot and ready for him when he arrived.
I had recently got a solid massage oil bar from Lush that I was eager to try out. It turned out to be fantastic to use. I'm going to have to get more of that stuff. It has a much nicer feel than the liquid oils, and you don't have to worry about spilling.
The massage was really nice for both of us. I gave him about 90 minutes, so I had time to get him really relaxed and wasn't rushed anywhere. It was nice to have enough time to learn his body and what it needed, where I had to be soft because he was ticklish, where I could be firm because he was tight, and what made him feel best. I think that's what keeps me from getting bored giving a massage - every body is different, and it takes attention and creativity to do a good job. The other thing is that to do it right I have to turn off my brain and let something else take over. It ends up being something of a meditation, and I ended the session totally high and energized. The rest of the day I was feeling post-orgasmic and probably had a stupid grin on my face everywhere I went.
Rene really enjoyed it too. He said it was the best massage he ever got, and the most intense. Big yay, I love it when people appreciate my work :-)
