This is great!

Gay advocates plan to post names of anti-gay marriage petition signers

KnowThyNeighbor.org sounds like a fantastic idea. We should do the same thing here in CA. Aside from keeping people honest about their political leanings, it also serves to keep the signature collectors honest too. If you see your own name on the list but never signed, you can have your name removed as a fraudulent entry.

Some days, the internet just works.

I used to do flying trapeze, but haven't for a couple years after an injury. I have trained at the SF School of Circus Arts, a well as a couple other rigs in the Bay Area. But most of my training has been with Peter Gold (Trapeze Experience), both on resort vacations and at his home base in Las Vegas. I had a lot of fun with it and my yoga background helped a lot, but I'm so nervous at heights that I was never really able to get my concentration down. I'd love to get back into it sometime, but not sure if it's ever going to happen.

Glad you liked SF. Did you ever do any trapeze here?

I'm so glad to hear that you actually trained that trapeze. I messaged someone else who had trapeze listed and they said they just listed it for fun. I did fly a couple of times over the summer, once at the Circus Centre in SF and then a couple of times at Trapeze Arts Inc, in the ghetto of west oakland haha. I'm so jealous you got to train with Peter Gold out in Las Vegas. I also spent a week this summer in vegas, I have some friends who are in the cirque show O there. What injury did you sustain a few years ago? Don't count yourself out just yet from the trapeze world. Have you heard of a man named Sam Keen? He wrote a book titled "Learning to Fly." He didn't begin his flying career until I want to say the age of 61.. and he was even able to learn a triple. I highly recommend the book, especially with your fear of heights. Anyways, thanks for messaging me back =).

I have a friend who is in O too - he's a fire dancer. I want to go to LV and see him perform sometime as soon as it cools off a bit there =)

My injury was to my shoulder. I've got a spinal curve that doesn't usually cause me too much grief if I keep up the yoga, but the trapeeze was just a bit much for my poor body.

Friended you back too. Hi!
