Oh. My. Gods.

Alton Brown is my savior. I've been cooking rice for years, and it always sucks. Especially brown rice. Last week I watched the Good Eats on rice, and AB shared his trick for making perfect brown rice: you bake it in the oven in a covered dish. I just made some brown rice that way, and it's flawless. It could be a meal unto itself! I'm just so psyched now. I'll have to try it with white rice sometime.

Or I guess I could buy a rice cooker, but I don't think they work so well anyway.
