This afternoon was lovely... the rain cleared up, and I went out to meet lorenzosf
to see Eating Out
at the Castro Theater. (I hadn't seen a movie at the Castro since they re-did the seating, and my ass was comfortably surprised.)
The movie was one of the funniest things I've seen in ages. Really well written, though pushing the envelope of credibility in the dialog. I mean, really people don't speak so wittily in daily banter, except in msminpdx
's books. But it was so fun I didn't mind the over-the-top dialog at all - the story was good, the acting was engaging, and the really hot boys didn't hurt nothing either. There was this one excruciatingly hot scene in the middle that was both a huge mind-fuck and seriously arousing. I bet that scene was the germ of the idea for the movie. I'm already looking forward to getting the DVD when it comes out - this movie is a keeper.
Afterwards I did a bit of shopping around the 'hood, and ran into soooo many people I know. It was like old home week, I couldn't go half a block without stopping to talk to someone. I even ran into a couple of my deaf friends and found out I haven't completely forgotten my ASL.
Now it's pasta time!
