Baby Foxes Going to the DogsWhile it is accepted that dogs and cats were domesticated as pets by ancient man, and of course farm animals such as horses, cows and chickens were domesticated for other purposes, this is the first I've seen of anyone domesticating a species in modern times. It's fascinating that so much of a species' behavior could be changed in just a few decades.
I wonder if there are any other species that would be worth domesticating via a similar selective breeding program. Anyone for a pet wolverine?
At any rate, the new fox-dogs are just so darn cute. I wonder if I'm allergic to them like I am to dogs...
