eye update

The eye doc says I've improved a bit but not enough to stop treatment. Which means that I have to keep my left eye dilated until next Tuesday at the least. That's five more days of this... not being able to wear my contact lenses, read a book, see a movie, etc... At least I can watch TV now, though it does kind of give me a headache. I can't even go out in the sunlight too long cause my eye is so sensitive to the light, even with the shades and ballcap. I've thought about the eye patch option, but that just seems too silly.

Oh well. This would be the perfect weekend to find a new boyfriend to hang out with. I usually kiss with my eyes closed after all...

OMG. :( Maybe the eyepatch for reading or TV/computer viewing purposes isn't such a bad idea, if it's for that much longer, at least while you're around the house.

Maybe there're some lucky boys with pirate fantasies on craigslist. :P

Arrrrggh! A pirate, says you? Someone a huntin' for Long John Silver? Maybe he'd want me to give him a hand to hook up? My luck, he'd want someone with a pegleg and lots of tattoos.

The really suck part is... no driving! Damn physical embodiment. I'm ready to upload now, thanks.

I've been keeping up with your eye thing and it sounds just awful. So sorry you are having this experience...and it doesn't sound like something that chicken soup will help with.

Sounds like it is really making you appreciate all that your eyes do for you, tho.

I suppose you've gotten tired of listening to music. :-)

Is it easier at night or are artificial lights worse than sunlight?

Thanks for the sympathy. Actually, my eye is improved enough that I can watch TV w/o getting a headache and even use the computer for a while. I can't read a book though, which is a pain. Things are better at night, cause it's darker out, and i just leave the lights on low if I need them at all - my eye is dilated so I have excellent night vision, except for not being able to focus well.

When I was a young boy I mad a little accident and got my eye scratched and had to wear an eye patch for about a week. This is making me remember that time, and I'm just glad I don't need the patch again now. Not having depth perception is just wrong.
