This day has really rocked so far. First off, it's totally gorgeous out. I went with my gal pal Roxane to the farmer's market this morning. We met at her place and took MUNI down to the Embarcadero. While we were waiting for the N, this cute guy kept looking over in our direction. We couldn't figure out which of us he was checking out though. Maybe we need to run a missed connection on craigslist - "M4? - which one of us do you want?"
The market was good. Got lots of nice fresh veggies, including some mathematically appealing romanesque broccoli. Also some red greens, some shitake and black trumpet shrooms, and some fresh made soy milk. Roxane and I were both pleased at the tight, little brussel sprouts and we each got some. And I got some pumpkin pasta and a pepper mix for making molé sauce. Mmm, I feel a bout of cooking coming on. Now I just need some sun-dried tomatoes and olives.
On our way back we stopped at CompUSA to check out hard drives and she got some CD blanks. I didn't like the drives there, so we swung by the Apple store and I picked up a pair of 250GB LaCie firewire 800 drives, and a copy of Retrospect. I've been wanting to get my stuff backed up for ages, and now I'm finally doing it. It's about time. I mean, what kind of geek am I to let all my writing and projects and pictures go unprotected? So I spent some of my tax refund on a good cause. I hope it ends up being a waste of time and money, but if it isn't, I'll be happy.
